Multi-role coast guard vessel type 201
New vessels for the Swedish Coast Guard
Kockums is building two KBV 201 "multi-role" vessels for the Swedish Coast Guard.
KBV 201 is a new type of vessel with multi-purpose capability. Their primary mission will be surveillance and patrol activities year-round, with special emphasis on border control with respect to persons, goods and government vessels as well as fisheries control.
The vessels are also designed to conduct advanced environmental protection and life-saving missions.
KBV 201 will be designed and built by Kockums.
