Building bridges
The main purpose of a mobile bridge is to bridge obstacles in the landscape as quickly as possible, to move vehicles and staff from point A to point B in as little time as possible. This is vital to military operations as well as civil emergency services.

Kockums Fast Bridge concept
Our Fast Bridges: FB 48, FB 48/56 and FB 48/200, manufactured of high-tensile steel (Weldox), set a new performance standard for fast mobile bridges.
The FB 48/56 is the only MLC 70 class bridge on the market that can span 56 metres without intermediate supports.
The bridges were designed in close cooperation with the Swedish Army, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).
At present Kockums has no production line or capacity for mobile bridges, but the bridge designs can be made available for license manufacturing.
